Cada pantalla muestra fotografías casi estáticas que han sido intervenidas por el artista. La memoria como proceso dinámico y reconstructivo explora la naturaleza efímera de los recuerdos arraigados en la tierra natal; junto con el deseo de recrearlos en otros lugares.

Es imperativo contar nuestros propios relatos para permanecer juntos en el futuro y no tan distantes de los nuestros, es un homenaje a los caídos; jóvenes que necesitan ser recordados pues son la imagen de lo que como país nos hemos convertido, y cada uno de ellos se multiplica dentro de nosotros.<br /><em>Argonautas de la octava isla</em> se sujeta de muchas historias reales. Sincera, profunda y directa. Pretende que el espectador viva y se emocione directamente con las circunstancias de sus personajes; que son al mismo tiempo las circunstancias de un país entero en crisis y que solo se reconoce en la duda y en la incertidumbre. Es la voz de quienes se han ido al otro lado del planeta y al otro lado de la vida. Solo quiere contribuir a poner la lupa en los daños colaterales e irreversibles de las decisiones personales y sociales. Sin buscar culpables y sin buscar causas '¿Te das cuentas que fuimos obligados a adelantar las despedidas en cada familia? ¡Como en una guerra! … ¿Estamos en una guerra?'<br />Decisiones individuales y, al mismo tiempo, compartidas que han creado una realidad innegable que necesita ser analizada; un nuevo mapa nacional que se ha convertido en la solución o en el final de muchas familias" (Alfredo Rodríguez Guillén).
